Finally G60 success!

Congrats on finding the problem! I'd personally recommend getting your new chip from SNS instead. Can't say enough about all the help Danny and Sam have been to my project over the years.

Subject: Finally G60 success!

So after taking a break from the G60 swap with the black (now red) 81
rebuild, the heads were clear and a new direction was formulated. After
reading over the Corrado, Scirocco and A2 digifant Bently wire diagrams, the
wiring was finalized. We still could not get the coil to spark while
cranking but it would spark erratically after letting off the key. We
isolated it to the computer so I fought hard on Ebay and got a pristine one
that was sitting in some guys garage for years that I paid way too much
for. It came last weekend and we put it in and sure enough it fired up.
What a fucking relief. So I swap out the stock chip with this stage 3 BBM
chip I got from a dude off Craig's List with a 68mm pulley. Put it back in
and the no start problem comes back. Turns out it was the BBM chip was the
problem the entire time. I installed the stock chip into my original
computer and it started up. So I now put out $150 for the second digi
computer and the BBM chip I scored was crap and I have to shell out $90 for
a new one, but the G60 runs! Got the dash back together, relocated the
battery, cleaned up the front seats. On Tuesday I bought a TT 2-1/4" exhaust
with Dynomax muffler and a new high flow cat. I call home today and all the
parts came and Sean threw them on. So just have to wrap up the loose ends
and take it for it's first spin this weekend. Our goal is to get to Fed
Way for WW on the 29th and hit the dyno. Next time MS all the way. Hope to
have vid and pictures to follow this weekend.
Got to give major thanks to Sean for all his help. Man is a A1 god. Even
with all the setbacks and problems you managed to figure out a way to get it
done. You rock bro and I can't wait to get to the 80S 16v next.
