How to rebuild a 1.8? or rather what to re-build?

...That was a tight clean running engine. It consistently got 30mpg.
You should've swapped it in with the 5spd trans. ;)
Had to say it...

As long as you've stored in a good place, you don't need to do anything,
except bolt the head back on, with a new gasket and bolts.
You could pull the oil pan, and clean the pickup screen...

Ok I know the answer to that. Look at the Bentley and follow the steps. But
I guess a better question is what do I buy to do a Re-fresh?

I bought a parts car from Peter a while back ant it donated the manual
tranny and all other accessories to Rodolfo for the swap. There was no time
to do the engine swap as Cincy 2006 was just 2 weekends away from the whole
tranny mess.

Anyhow that 1.8 has been laying around and the head and block had to be
separated because we could not get it out from under the car without braking
it apart.... I know.....I know...... but those that were there can attest to
the crappy conditions in which this swap happened.

Ok so what is my laundry list of stuff to buy and where can I get it
cheaper? Oh and for those of you that say just buy an 2.0 all I can say is I
don't have the mula, but donations of parts and money can always be sent to
me :)

Thank you all for helping with my dreams,
  El tony
