need help with a diagnosis

I think that the recommended is 20w50. I ran 10w30 once and the light would
go on everytime I made a turn.

FYI. don't know anything about the other light.

Good luck
David

Oil is Chevron Supreme SEA 30, and filter is WIX (nascar performance) :).
Are those bad?

Thanks

The oil pressure switches are known for going bad, leaking, and bad
readings.

Get a new oil pressure switch(they're cheap and cheaply made) and/or install
an oil pressure gauge.

What weight oil and which brand oil filter?
My 16V will light the oil pressure switch with a cheapie filter, as in US
made. :)

Hello fellow listers can you help me out with a diagnosis? The last 2 times
I have driven the rocc about 20 minutes into the drive the oil light and
seatbelt(I think the other was seatbelt) light will come on. When this
first happened I thought, shit I'm low on oil 'cause the engine burns about
? quart every 100 miles or so.

But the oil was not as low as I thought it would be. Hmmm

So today when the lights came on again I was perplexed again :), the temp
gage in the center consol gets to about 90 cels, and the temp gage on the
dash goes up and down but stays in the lower quarter, and the light does not
come on.

When I popped the hood the upper radiator hose seemed to be a little
swollen. And when I opened the radiator the level looked low. So I fired
up the engine again and poured in some more fluid as the engine was running.
It took about 8oz and I could tell the water was moving 'cause it was
squirting out the hole at the tope of the radiator.

Any ideas why the oil light is coming on? Is it safe to drive the 16 miles
home in 90 degree heat.

Thanks

-Bill
