Freeze 12 A/C recharge kit \ A/C question

Hi Nate,

the conversion to 134a shouldn't be a big deal. If I recall correctly when we did it on my wife's departed Honda, it was a matter of putting new fittings on and charging it up with the new refrigerant. The honda didn't have any R12 left in it from a leak that we'd had fixed, so we didn't have to worry about doing any reclaimer stuff. The kit came with everything we needed to do the job and if I remember correctly it was around $60-70 plus about 1/2 hr of our time.

Anyone ever use the Freeze 12 kit? Looks like it's a direct replacement
for R12 (not an R132A conversion), and kits look to be reasonable. I'd
like to get the A/C working on my '88, and I don't really want to put a
lot into an R132A conversion.

Speaking of, I'm looking to do a R132A recharge on a couple cars in the
driveway, I've been doing some research, looks to be pretty simple and
idiot-proof. I'd get a complete kit, with guage, refrigerant, etc.
Looking for any BTDTs for reference.

Thanks,
Nate
