Brazilian Head Question? (8V)

Well, the increase in valve sizes should improve performance so that's one reason to install it.
Course having a head laying around that can be installed when the old one takes a dump could be another reason.

There is the question of the front oil return. It's the bulge in the middle of the front of the head (front as installed in the car) and the oil return on a 1.8 head is too big and will overhang the front of the block on a 1.6 or 1.7.
So, that's something else to look at.
Your oil pressure sounds completely normal.
You should take pictures and post them someplace.
