Brazilian Head Question? (8V)

Now that you have gotten over the title! 
   
  Ok something peculiar that I have always wanted to ask. I noticed that I have a head on my car that is stamped BRAZIL. That leads me to some speculation that I like you all to comment on.
   
   
  1) are all brazilian heads Hydro heads? (yes IIRC)
  2) 8v heads from brazil came in foxes but they turn to digifant on 90 (IIRC)
  3) Why would there be a Hydro head on a 1.7l
  4) pro's and con's if indeed there is a hydro head on a 1.7l 
  5) How do I tell the diference?
  6) That head does not belong to that 1.7l right? althougth there is a lot of overlap on 8v's I dont recall brazilian heads on german built 80's VW's
  7) recomendations, input?
