moving to Canada legally

I read about it a year or so back. There is a system based on points which
Canadia lets you in as a permanent resident.

Googling found this link: <http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLIsh/immigrate/index.asp>

You get points for education level, if you speak both English and Frog you
get more points, tattoo of the maple leaf gets you more points, and a love
of back bacon may push you over the line and give you immediate citizenship.

The odd thing is that there are not many (any) books written on how to do
this, unlike there are in many other nations/languages. See:
<http://www.aufbruch.com/> for an example, my friend and his wife wrote a
book on how to move from Germany to the US.

Now that I have my 6' tall Lion in the states I don't feel like moving it
back across the border.....

Subject: OT: moving to Canada legally

Hi,
Some friends of mine are moving back to Canada. She has MS and can't afford
her medication here so... They both dual Canadian/ US citizenship so they
can move back. Their son can go with some paperwork and money. His
girlfriend, who has lived with them for 3 years is a US citizen. Is anyone
familiar withthe procedure on how a US citixen can get a visa to go to
Canada for a prolonged stay or know where to point me?
Thanks,
John
