Have you done a compression check?  That will tell you valves/rings. If one
reading is low you squirt a small amount of oil into that spark plug hole
and recheck if the reading goes up it is the rings if not then it is the
valves.

Could be a leaky 5th injector?

P.S. I have a similar problem on my 8V as well never really checked into it.
