Subject: Oil pressure

Oil temp is madde at the back of the head on a 16v, but pressure is made at
the front on the oil filter flange.

Wouldn't it make more sence to read the pressure at the head, the farthest
from the pressure source?

Or is it because the pressure there, fluctuates?

If you are referring to the oil pressure sensors, there are two. One at the
filter housing, and one at the head. This way, the car can alert you if
your oil pressure is not high enough at idle, -&- if it is not high enough
at speed.
