broken tachometer

Hi Andrew,
   
  Sometimes the wire coming from the coil to provide a signal to the tach could be broken/corroded/etc. I'd try jumping a temporary wire from the coil first to determine if it is in fact the tach that is bad. Someone with a Bentley for this car can confirm which wire that would be.
