Poor Canadians

Maximum speed: 500 knots (570 mph, 920 km/h).

The C-5 has four TF39 turbofan engines, rated at 43,000 lbf (191 kN) thrust
each. Empty it weighs 380,000 lb (170,000 kg), loaded 769,000 lb (349,000
kg), max takeoff weight: 840,000 lb (381,000 kg). You do the math to the
HP/weight ratio, or thrust to weight ratio in this case.

With a payload of 270,000 lb (120,000 kg) it could handle 122 roccos @ 2,200
lbs (wet) each. The paint alone on the C5 weighs 2,600 pounds (1,200
kilograms) which is more then any rocco (other then d?rocco).

Inside the C5 it is 121 feet long, 13.5 feet high, and 19 feet wide Three
wide and seven deep it can handle 21 roccos without a second deck being
built. With a flat 3 level system you could fit 63 roccos, who knows how
many with a system like on an 18 wheeler car-carrier-like system.

Anyone care to calculate the fuel economy for of a C5 flying 63 roccos back
to the fatherland?

Anyone care to calculate how many miles a Scirocco could go with the 4.1
million barrels of oil that the Knock Nevis (the largest ship in the world)
holds? What is the maximum percentage of gasoline (vs. other products) that
light sweet crude can provide?

the real question is what is the HP/weight ratio, 60' time, quarter mile
time, max speed.. :-), and how many sciroccos can it carry.. :-) helping to
keep the thread alive..
