Bad wheel bearing symptoms?

I kind of enjoy using my press to R & R wheel bearings.
Just got done replacing a front wheel bearing in my Audi A4 which is about ten time the PITA of doing a Scirocco front bearing.
Course I've also got a big selection of 6" and 12" steel tubes of various diameters that Kirsten got for me back when she used to work at www.onlinemetals.com so it seems I'm just about always able to come up with some combination that'll work.

Yup, getting that hub carrier into a press is tricky at best. I've considered buying the in-place tool, even though I own a press.
