Fwd: Bad Alt?

maybe I am way off line here, but, 75% of the alt problems I know are;

a) voltage regulator bruses are done for, need to replace the part
b) exciter wire disconnected (follow the blue wire and make sure its
clips are clean, and connected
c) ground to alternator is done for.

then again I have been out of the loop for a while, so sorry if I
intruded (grin)
