Driver's side transaxle mount question

I use a $20 air hammer, and it only takes a few minutes, to walk the old
mount out.

Then I use a 30 ton press, but any press over 10 ton works fine. I use a
piece of machined steel, that fits the mount perfectly. I have one for the
passenger side too... I bought them from Rocky Mountain, before they went
belly up.

I used my Wilton vise, before that, and it was a real PIA. I had to
constantly switch sides, because it would load up  against the inside of the
bracket.

I've done the vice thing, and it only worked because the vice was older than
I am.  I swear this thing doubled as an anvil.  Unless you have one of
those, use a press for sure.

As for removal of the old mount, I've found the 'hacksaw through the center
and saw outwards as to slot the ring of the old mount' trick works just
fine.  You only need to do that once, as you will then have your own press
tool for pressing out future mounts.
