axle replacement 86 jetta

Dick,
That's what I did with the PS axle. I haven't found a hole I can jam it in
on the DS yet... I'm getting to the point of ball joint and hub if
necessary, This little B@$^%&$ is getting on my nerves. Should have been
done and driving by now. It's like the damn thing won't come out without
removing the hub. I can't see how just removing the ball joint would help
unless it allows the wheel to swing outward more. Anyway that's where I"m
going to start. 1. try to slide it up and past the flange. 2. ball joint.
3. pull it apart circlip style. 4. Get a hammer and start visualizing the
crusher yard!

Had to take a break...was really starting to visualize it in the local
crusher.
