Can I use PVC in a coolant hose?

PVC should be able to stand up to the heat and pressure, I wouldn't
worry too much about it. Keep an eye on it, I'd be more worried about
your hose connections, PVC is very smooth, and even with hose clamps,
I'd be weary of leaks.
