updates on fiberglass MkI fenders, and such...
I hear all the time about how this guy or that guy is going to try and
make some 'glass or carbon parts like fenders and hoods. It always ends
up the same way. It costs way too much and takes far too long to get a
decent mold made that actually fits the car, and for what, maybe a
couple orders. Nobody ever follows through, and if some pieces somehow
manage to get finished, they are usually shoddy quality and in very
small supply. Hardly anyone wants a $1000 CF hood on a $2000 car.
