SPAM-LOW: Re: stripped wiper shafts and solutions?

They're not really stripped, the grooves are just filled with aluminum from
the wiper arm.

Take a small pick, or knife, and scrape each groove clean. If the wiper arm
mounting hole is still round, you should be able to re-use it. Just tighten
it really good, locktite is a good idea, and you might need a small washer
under the nut.

Yah, stripped. I know what you are talking about. In fact, both nuts were
loose. But the shards of metal and after taking them off and see neither
wiper or stud with knurling tells me, 'stripped'!
