My update



Man. Now I hate spot welds. Removed the dash and loosened the steering column after the windshield was out.
Right behind the fire wall is a support beam with about 2000 spot welds. Some had been welded in prior to the steering column being added.
After 5 hours later I could see the damage. (add expletives here. Many of them...)
Both hinges rusted at the top along the seam that holds the rubber for the windshield.

The new stuff could be made from sheet, but it would take about 5 pieces as the curves are complex. Each would need to be fitted and seam welded. What the hell, I dont have a life :)

Pictures being taken and a tutorial for any one thats stupid enough to try this....
