head swap

   i know that 9a and aba blocks can be substituted in place of the 
standard jh block, but can just the head be swapped as easily? many of 
my local yards are not carrying stuff as old as our sciroccos anymore 
(never mind the increasing rarity), but i can find an aba head without 
much problem. as the block bolts up, shouldn't the head? couldn't the 
crossflow be an improvement?
