Removing steering column

I'm trying to remove the steering column to replace the bearing at the bottom end of it.  I have the four bolts that hold it to the dash removed, but there's some sort of spring clip that seems to be holding it in place that I can't seem to release.  Any ideas on how to release it?  Is there anything else that holds the column in place?
