Any diesel gurus on here?

I'd order a new crank gear for it.

If you machine it, you will remove the hardened surface.
The crank is stronger, than the gear, because it's a lot easier to replace.

Subject: SPAM-LOW: Any diesel gurus on here?

I'm putting a diesel crankshaft into my 3a block. It's already been fitted
and etc, but now I need to get a crank gear that will fit onto there. The
diameter at the end of the crank, where the gear is bolted on is 31.50mm,
but the inner diameter of my crank gear is only 22mm.

Does a diesel engine have the same crank gear as I need for my timing or
will I have to get this crank machined down?

Thanks
