What's your tune-up routine? Plus bonus ?s

And really guys, though this IS informative, we're WAY into the bonus round
here, the initial question was regarding a first time tune up IIRC. So how
to correctly gap spark plugs may be of more use to the original poster than
a discussion of how to adjust valve clearance. I can measure it (yep, I'm a
confirmed Homo-lesser-than-sapiens, not to be confused with plain old
homo), but I'd need help to adjust clearance. Spark plugs I can handle.
So basic tune up tips were what the request was for.

Cathy, with a good old 8V, clearance within spec
