Any idea what this is?

On the PDF version of my Bentley , on page 424 of 522 , or page 4 of 9 Main
Wiring Diagram Scirocco 1987-1989 , I see the OXS CAT Elapsed Mileage
Counter with three wires: BR , BL/GR and BL.

It counts the miles and trigger the lamp in your dashboard to tell you to
replace the OXS. Kind of a crude early "Check Engine" light.
