What type refrigerant came on our cars? I too want my AC back

That's what I've been trying to work with, but results so far have been 
unnoteworthy! Actually pathetic is the correct word.
At this point I'm assuming I don't know what I'm doing and that the whole 
system, not just the AC, needs to be reviewed.

Freeze 12 is what was used to replace the R12 in our Mercedes after some
a/c work about 3-4 years ago.  I've had zero problems and the efficiency
seems to be even better than the original.  No seal replacement or purging
