Dan, I'm running a 50mm intake on my '79 16V, and you know how well that
runs. Remember driving down to H2O last year...
I could feel the extra weight slowing me down, especially off the line.

Engine mods; TT fuel enrichment, K&N drop-in air filter, 50mm, TT 2" race
DP, TT exhaust, and Borla muffler.

Btw, I have an extra passenger side 50mm intake, $300 shipped.

Lance,
Have any data to back up this statement?
I think the common knowledge is that the 50mm intake boosts top end but
hurts the midrange some, at least on the 1.8L.
I'd think with the additional airflow of the 2.0 or 2.2L engines it'd be a
benefit everywhere.
