Ed, you may want to have your son's friend check out the insurance rates for a 16V vs normal Scirocco, not sure how much difference there would be, but I got my 16V from a kid who couldn't pony up the insurance money. For a young driver, it will be a bigger expense than the car for sure. Cathy
