steering rack



I really think you should try adjusting it while you have the trans out. If 
you need to remove it for any reason it's much easier now than with the 
trans back in place.
Depending on how anal you want to get you might want to go ahead and pull 
the rack, clean everything up, regrease and reinstall.
If it was me (and I'm really anal about this type of stuff) I'd do that and 
adjust it on the bench, then install it and make sure the adjustment feels 
good with the car in the air turning it lock to lock.
