Sciroccos and kids?

I load two in the back of my MK2 on a semi-regular basis. The 9mo. old is in a rearward facing thing that only marginally fits. The toddler in his forward facing seat fits just fine. If you haven't bought the carseats yet, borrow some and see if they fit, or make sure you have a good return policy. The rearward facing convertible ones are often too bulky, but I think that almost any forward facing seat would work just fine.

Get one of the booster seats that is only a base and has no back. These don't require a shoulder belt. Graco makes one with a nice pop-out cup holder on it that is very cheap.

The other question is whether you have to use a booster type seat at all. You and I will both have to face the fact that only having a lap belt provides a significant decrease in protection for out little dudes. I plan to keep mine in the full car seat, in the rocco at least, for as long as I can before switching to the booster.
