Of flywheels, transmissions and engines



The 020 clutch/flywheel is sort of inverted from a normal setup. Normally the flywheel bolts to the crank and the PP bolts to that. For the 020 the PP bolts to the crank and the flywheel bolts to that. So, no, the G60 flywheel will not work with the 020 tranny.
The 7A is not a "16V" tranny. i.e. it doesn't have the bigger input shaft or bigger 4th gear splines. It's a super wide ratio tranny w/3.94 final drive that was installed in Rabbits and Jettas from 82 to 84.
