Passat b4 transmissions..



>From what I have seen and heard both at the dealership, and from a friends'
single-man shop, if it is changed every 40-60K miles, it should be okay.  If
it has gone more than this without changing, you will deposit debris and
muck where it does not belong, and it will soon after fail, or run poorly
because the valves in the brain are grimmey.  This appears to apply to all
autos to some degree, but most especially to German and Japanese...
