Possible car for me

1) The engine isn't the only thing that wears out with mileage.

2) A "later" engine from a Jetta sounds misleading when it turns out to be maybe two years newer with no description and no engine mileage.

3) Inspect for salt damage and rust (then buy a car from a southern state).

4) They started galvanizing the cars at the factory in '84, I think, so never buy one older than that unless you have a really good reason.

5) Get a much better description or go see it before you buy. Looks like this guy has no clue about this car. Odd to have no pictures under the hood.

6) Stay in touch with the list no matter what you do.

7) Sciroccos are ALL project cars.

Welcome to the list

Anyone have any tips for me? The speedo reads 230,000 but it has had an
engine swap from a jetta (86 or 87 he isnt sure) I obviously wont be paying
him 1900. It doesnt look like it is worth that. i could be wrong though.
Anyways, anything would be appreciated.

http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/car/250894991.html

- Jesse
_______________________________________________
Scirocco-l mailing list
Scirocco-l@scirocco.org
http://neubayern.net/mailman/listinfo/scirocco-l
