Anyone want something powdercoated?

Considering the fact that the mating surfaces shouldn't be powdercoated at all, I don't see a problem with banging the trans on wood. 600° is too hot for regular powder coats, apparently, but they do sell high temp ones. I have heard of people using curing temps anywhere from 275° to 400°, so that shouldn't be a problem. The cure temp is generally not the highest temp the powdercoat can handle. It's not like it melts as it cures. That is all based on my understanding, but I haven't done a lot of it myself.
