OT: Battery/start question

This isn't on a Scirocco, sorry. So the daughter's Focus has decided to not
start all of a sudden. I was assuming there was an accessory left on or
something, so I check battery voltage. Nope, 12.59V

So the warning buzzers and such sound normal, so there 's juice getting to
the car from the battery (terminals look clean and intact), but there is
nothing when you try to crank it over. Like an ignition cutoff, no clicks,
nothing. Anyone have experience with those switches on the clutch pedal? Do
they ever fail? Any tips are appreciated, send it off list as it IS one of
those found on road dead deals, and who wants to hear about that?
