Rear Deck question

I've always had great luck with contact cement.  Used 3M spray for an
under hood pad on the Benz and Weldwood liquid all over the Scirocco
(including under hood sound foam) for fastening (and re-fastening)
carpet.  The rear deck should be a slam dunk.

I'll ask the obvious questions:  Did you follow the directions?  Coat
each surface with the cement (at least a couple of coats because the
stuff soaks into soft surfaces)?  Let it dry for 20-30 minutes and
then press it firmly into position?  It should bond and then be next
to impossible to separate the parts.
