Mk1s and the upper tiebar (stressbar)

So does anyone know if there are tolerance (fitting)
issues with the Mk1s and the aftermarket strut
tiebars?

I am looking to run a camber plate as well as spacer
for compensating suspension travel (auto-x) on my new
Mk1.  My concern is definitely that the tiebar will
not clear the hood.

I guess if that is the case, I could have a local shop
that I know fab a bar for me.  But I wanted to know
before I purchase a Mk1 bar.
