Lubricating your Shaft

The CV grease I've seen around in FLAPS (blue stuff) is not nearly as
high in Moly as the real stuff that you get with a new CV joint, a
friend with a euro repair shop has tubes of it laying around that he
hasn't used. It's nasty black staining stuff. I have used that on
splines sparingly with no problem. The Autozone stuff probably has
enough moly in it anyway.

What has anyone used to lubricate the splined shaft from the trans
mission
to the clutch disk? The Bently says to use this special VW Molybendilum
Disufide stuff but I don't have any of that just laying around. Is that
the
same as CV grease that I can get from AutoZone?
