SPAM-LOW: SS brake line kinking (rear, 16V)

The line doesn't look kinked, it's just the DOT marked sleeve.  

I'd be more worried about the rust, right above where the trailing arm
mounts:

Hopefully it looks worse than it is, because that's a tough spot to fix.

Is this normal?  I know our Sciroccos are kinky, but this seems a bit much:

Pic was taken with the beam in place and jacked up to about ride height.
Any hints?  Should I install the lines with the rear beam unbolted and
dropped down some?
