Tire mouting problems

When mounting the tires on the Rieger wheels...

The guy had to get half a rotation worth of bead to sit in the lower ledge
(near the center). This was the only way to get the extra slack necessary
for the other half of the bead to clear the lip.
My wheels are no doubt shaped differently, but the principle is the same for
wide ATS cups.
