transmissioin - rebuild or replace?



hmm - that's a nice price!  i think the folks suggesting lube check  
might be right - i've had it pop out of 4th, and it's ONLY noisy  
under load (accel/decel) - hopefully i can keep her alive until the  
money for a new transmission arrives.  i'm not too pleased right now  
about having a jetta trans. in - seems wrong somehow.
