Postal Laws - Is it mine! Some Scirocco content



Don,
I think that if it's the USPS, you have the right to collect the package 
as yours, no questions asked.  It's not your fault you got it, so it's 
not your reponsibility to direct it to the rightful owner, other than 
doing the right thing, like you did.  FedEx might be different, you 
could call them or check the website for the proper procedures.  You say 
you know the recipient?  Could you contact them and find out anything? 
Is your name or address on the box?  How does it keep ending up with 
you?  Is it being shipped to your home or work?
I'm sure you can make sure it gets to its rightful owner, if you really 
want to, but it might take a little work.  Hell, offer the guy a reward!
