Alternator wiring question

Just wanting to confirm that I've covered all my bases before I kill this
alternator. So, in "the system", which is not currently charging...

Wiring to check/clean, etc:
Big wire from alternator(alternator to starter IIRC)
Big wire from starter to positive battery terminal
Big ground cable from negative battery terminal to frame, and from there to
tranny
Double check any others attached to the battery terminals
Plan to add: ground from alternator housing to engine (shouldn't be needed,
but I'll still add it)

Also on "the slate" for general cleanup, as they are constantly used: coil
wires, fuel pump wires. Check condition of things in fusebox area

Most of these wires are new, so I'm not anticipating any big improvement,
but I can't do normal testing of the alternator on its own because it's not
going to come off gracfully.
Anything I've missed? If not, let me know that too...tomorrow may be BFH
day....
