How did you get your first.... (Behrle Hubbuch)

I had just gotten my drivers license and had been driving my dad's boat
(an '85 Lincoln) which he was getting sick and tired of sharing.  I was
looking through the paper for a car when dad said to "look for a bug" 
Well, I found an '81 Scirocco instead, which suited me just fine (my
sort of mom Margaret had a red 16v at the time, which practiced my
manual transmission skills on.)

I had it from high school until the summer between Freshman and
Sophomore years of college.  Driving down to Dauns, the car died and
would not restart.  It ended up being something in the electrical
system that dear dad deemed to expensive to fix.  

Shoulda fought him on that one, that was the most fun I've ever had in
a car.
