Crossmember Bars

why not just go on the notion that adding reinforcement to a flimsy frame
member made of boxed steel simply must help to some degree? now granted, its
a narrower tube than the stock frame, so it will flex more than a (perfect)
factory piece will, but all it takes is the mere start of a crack for the
factory piece to flex greatly. this is where the bar comes in. it will take
the load when the factory piece falters. this will minimize the damage done
to the factory piece, keeping it repairiable. as for the bars strength on
its own, i believe it would be strong enough to support the front mount even
in the complete absence of the factory cross member.
