all 8v oil filters the same?

Yeah, (from memory, Fram PH2870A, but don't use Fram they suck (I once worked with their former
Director Of Quality, he told me)).

But then again I typically screw on the bigger Diesel filters. I like Puraolator.  Call me crazy.
