Attn 16V owners. Radiator hose ID help needed.

My '86 is now a 2.0 16V.  It was an 8v auto.  The 2.0 16V came from
my '81 and I don't remember anymore where the radiator came from.
I need a hose from the head to the radiator, but I don't know what model
to get one for.  The inlet from the radiator  faces the engine, not out
the side, and looks to take a hose about 9" in length.  There is a 3.5" 
difference
(center to center) between the head outlet and the radiator inlet height-wise
and about 1" side to side.  Does this sound familiar to anyone and if so
do you have either a part number or a layout (ie such and such year, 16V AC
or non AC etc) so I can get a hose without spending hours scouring the
parts stores hose collection?
