I have the flanged cat and am loving it, next Etest, I know I have a nice
fresh cat to bolt in (it's on the shelf, after all), and in the meantime, I
can get stopped at a spot check and as long as they only do a visual, my
hollowed out cat will pass with flying colours. I should have done it years
ago. I imagine it could be bolted into the exhaust stream of the other gas
VWs in the fleet too with some creative flange work.
