Slight correction - you can indeed fit the later style 90mm or any 100mm flange to an early case.
Remove the old seal, put a green adapter sleeve in its place, and use the new style seals with the
newer style flanges. The case half will have to be clearanced on the drivers side a little bit.
Otherwise, that's it. Your tranny will have two green adapter sleeves (later models only had
one).
