OT: !#$!$^% UPS

My wife sold a couple of brand new paperback books to a buyer on eBay, 
and shipped them in a bubble envelope.  The buyer complained that the 
books were all torn, creased and had bent corners.  The envelope they 
arrived in was NOT a bubble envelope.  My theory: the USPS seriously 
messed up the books and envelope, repackaged them, and sent them on 
their merry way, leaving the buyer pissed and my wife holding the bag 
for the cost of return shipping and a refund.
We're looking into it, the books aren't back yet.
