monday night tinkering

Well, the list is slow so far this morning and I'm pretty bored at
work so I'll fill y'all in on my weekend, scirocco style.
Sunday afternoon I installed a Kamei grill. It was very easy, but I
did feel a bit nervous drilling holes in unmolested sheetmetal. It
looks great but now it calls attention to the rather faded bumper.
I'd like to dye it/paint it. Girots garage has a bumper dye, but I've
heard that Dr. Scholls shoe care black works just as well. Opinions?
Sunday Roger came over and dumped some of his interior in the garage
and went off to jersey (hope this dosen't spoil your suprise).
Yesterday roger came out and we installed the seats. Surely, you know
how easy they are to install, so why did he bother to come over?
'Cause he's loaning me his old drivers seat. rember, if you will, the
"seat fiasco" The next installment of that story is that I took out
my drivers seat and took it to the upholstry shop for some....
attention ($$$$). Since I don't have a spare drivers seat, this
rendered my car un-driveable. (well, I did drive it aorund the block
and that was entertaining). Then it was no trouble to install my
(rogers?) seat into my car. Feels so good to drive it again! Hello
Scirocco, goodbye intrepid!
Yesterday in the mail came my new key, one of those mk2 style dealies
with the sheath and light in the handle. Great fun for $25 and I love
the way it looks.
So if anyone knows where I can get a kamei hoodspoiler to go with my
grill, drop me a line. they don't seem to be available anymore,
despite what various websites say.
So there is my story. Cheers!

Greg
